Oropharyngeal dysphagia in dog: report of two cases

Abstract

This report describe 2 cases, which were submitted to the “Diego Villegas Toro” Veterinary Hospital of the Caldas University, with severe pneumonia. After physical examination and various tests, it was concluded that the most likely diagnoses included: cricopharyngeal achalasia (AC) and pharyngeal dysphagia (DF). We discuss the therapeutic alternatives and the clinical course of patients and mention the therapeutic essay realized in a patient according to literature suggestions.
